The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

(Ranuculus, Primrose, Hyacinth and Ivy) Hey there my friend's! It's still a little cool here but Spring is definitely on it's way! We have babies everywhere. Here are my baby plants in my newly refurbished greenhouse!

(Marigolds, Geraniums, Boxwood and Lettuce!) Here is my newly refurbished greenhouse!

It is also filled with flats of African Daisy's, Impatiens, Bachelor Buttons, Snapdragons, Foxglove and Delphinium! There is also Tomatoe plants, Broccoli, cabbage, Brussel Sprouts and I'm pre rooting my potatoes đŸ„”!

The big blue buckets have grape 🍇vines, Blackberry and Rasberry Bushes. We are rebuilding our garden. We have been here over 20 years now. The garden beds were one of our first projects when we moved here. The beds are literally falling apart. So my husband, Tom is trying to rebuild just enough of my beds so we can plant the basics. That's why the Grape Vines 🍇 ect. are going in pots for now!

So we have baby plants, baby calves and oh yeah, my Daughter is having a baby! Two weeks ago she had her first ultrasound! I got to go along and see my new Grandbaby for the first time! Guess what? She's having a little girl!

Don't misunderstand me I love my Grandson's with all my heart but it's going to be nice to even the odds around here! In other words. We need a little girl! I am so excited! For me there was an emotional part as well. You have to understand that this is my baby having her first baby. The tiny little malnourished baby we brought home from Russia! She's going to be a Mommy!

(Samantha's first Easter. We just stepped off the plane at KCI, this is my sister holding her for the first time and my Dad standing right next to her!) If she had stayed in that orphanage in Russia would she have lived? Would she have been able to grow up and be A Mommy? Because of the miraculous things that happened to us on our second trip, the trip to adopt her. I have to believe that Samantha was intended to be our daughter and God has something special in store for her! She is also getting to do something most women take for granted. Something I couldn't do. She is getting to experience the wonder of new life! She has a beautiful little girl growing in her tummy! She gets to feel it move and she is going to get to experience that incredible moment when her baby is born and she holds her for the first time! Yes right now I am living vicariously through my daughter! We got to see the baby move her arm on the sonogram and clench her fist! It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen and I just sat there with tears of joy running down my face! Oh and her due date was moved up. It was July 15 now it is July 5th! We might have a firecracker baby! I wish I could show you a picture of the sonogram but I can't. Here are some really cute baby animals to get you by until she is born. And no they don't live on our Farm. Their just cute!

(Platypus babies are called puggles! Here kitty, kitty and Momma Bear takes baby Bears đŸ»for a walk!) Talk to you later my friend's! FG Farm Girl
