The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

A Day Without Kiddos!

Updated: May 6

(Coral Charm Peony) It's a day without kiddos! So for me it's a day to plant flowers! First I have to go to one of our local garden centers. Selecting plants and purchasing them is half the fun. If you are a gardener I'm sure you know what I mean!

(We have had a cool Spring and my Panseys are loving it! They are also loving the composted cow manure I put in my pots!) So on my plant list I have red geraniums! I like the dark red geraniums. Then I need some spikey grass, 2 colors of sweet potato plants, some Creeping Jenny, and hopefully I can find some Supertunias! If you are not familiar with Supertunias, they are a must have. Especially for pots! They are Proven Winners and they will bloom beautifully all summer long with just a little TLC.

(These are not Supertunias but they are doing great! They love the weather and manure also!) So here we go! We're getting ready to go shopping! I will catch you later! Tricia Peelen aka Farm Girl
