It's An Art Thing!
Updated: May 4
(HeavenlyHydrangeas) Hello my friend's and family! Again it's been a while since I blogged! So sorry about that! Honestly, my Granddaughter has taken over my life! However, she will be 2 in July and she's getting better at entertaining herself! She's certainly a cutie patootie and she's full of herself.
(Jaylyn and Samantha, Easter2023) So, why did I title this, "It's An Art Thing!"? This blog has always been about creativity and how I express that in a farm setting. Usually it's through flowers, gardening, and crafts. However, painting pictures has also been a part of my life for a long time. I started out painting pictures on the walls in my house, then I moved onto murals in my kids bedrooms, then murals for the kids section at my church, then finally, I started painting landscapes on smaller canvasses. So, have y'all (that's Ozark Twang) noticed the really big prints hanging on the walls in businesses? A lot of them are floral and I'm all about flowers! Anyway, everytime I saw one I kept thinking, I could do that! Right after Christmas I gave myself the gift of acrylic paint, canvasses, and paint brushes! I sqeezed in the time after bedtime for the boys and during nap time for Jaylyn. I started out with abstract Floral paintings! Here is one of my favorites!
(Rose Explosion Too) I basically painted a lot of pictures in a short amount of time. We started to run out of room for them!
(My abstract Floral's. Left to right, A Daisey A Day, Abstract Daisey, Blue Cosmos, Rose Explosion and Red Poppy) So I got on Artspan.com and created a website and a Gallery. Actually I have 2 galleries one for Photography and one for Paintings. Just go to tpeelen.artspan.com You can purchase prints, or the original art. So be sure you check that out! Since then I have gotten into more of an impressionistic style. These will be available on Artspan also!
(Left to Right, My Secret Garden, Daisey, HeavenlyHydrangeas) I also have some beautiful Photography on that site! Be sure and check it out! Just go to tpeelen.artspan.com Talk to you later!
