The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Tuesday morning dawned and it was another pretty day on the Key! Just a little info, Key West is actually a coral wreath. We had nothing on our schedule, so we decided to take our van and explore.

We had been told that Zachary Taylor Beach was the best place to take Sunset pictures! So we decided to pack a picnic and spend the day on the ⛱️ beach!

The first thing I did was to scope out a good place to take pictures from. I found my spot and after taking about 100 pictures, we relaxed on the beach!

The Day was a little Cloudy, but it was still fun to be on the beach. We found some bits of shells and some interesting little rocks. We even bottled up some sand. To go with our sand from the pacific coast! Another fun fact, did you know the beaches on Key West don't make their own sand? There's not enough wave action. They actually ship sand in from the Bahamas or Florida.

This little boy was chasing Seagulls! See the delighted look on his face!

We stayed on Taylor Beach until Sunset! I tried out my new camera lens, "Big Bertha"! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera settings right. Then, just as the sun slipped down over the horizon, the guard from the Naval base next door came through and booted us all out. I was so disappointed! The sunset magic happens after the sun goes down. It wasn't even dark yet! I tried telling them that, but it didn't work! Oh well, we still had several more days to get the Sunset picture! We went out for dinner that night. Then back to our hotel! The Key Lime Pie is delicious down here! It should be, this is where it was created! Bye for now! FG Farm Girl
