The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Salsa Verde Finally!

Updated: Jan 3, 2021

Family time, Recipes, Ninaja Blender, Salsa Verde Hey all! Is anyone wondering what happened to my Salsa? Well I finally got to the store. I bought a Ninja Professional Blender. It is amazing! I just threw all the ingredients in the blender and used the pulse button. Three medium size green tomatoes,(skinned), a small onion, 1/4 of a medium sized Jalpino, three large scoops of pre minced garlic, a hand full of cilantro, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp of salt 🧂. and that's it! . Then I taste and adjust. Oh also I used 1tb of lemon 🍋 juice. Then I poured each batch in one really big bowl 🥣 and I stirred it all together to make sure that it all tasted the same. So you can adjust from there depending on what you want yours to taste like. We like things mild around here! I was thinking about canning my salsa but I discovered that my husband had put away my canning supplies! So instead of dragging it all back out I decided to freeze it! So I scooped about 1 cup of salsa into each freezer 🎒 bag and we I put them in our chest freezer I spread them out so they wouldn't stick together! I got 13 bags of Salsa Verde which is something we use quite a bit! So I saved myself a little money at the grocery store and I have a product with no preservatives and that is healthy for my family! I always feel like a little squirrel storing up nuts for winter! It gives me a great sense of satisfaction! .

Talk to you later! Happy Salsa making! . FG Farm Girl https://amzn.to/34NZRIC https://amzn.to/385pcQj
