The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Oh Christmas 🎄 Tree!

Hey there all my friends! How is your Tuesday going? It was cold here and I had to scrape the frost off my windshield! I took the boys to preschool this morning! Tom usually takes them in the morning and I pick them up in the afternoon! So yeah! Our quarantine is over! I don't think I had been back home for an hour and the school called to tell us that Jeremiah was running a fever and we needed to come get him! I ran back into Nevada to pick him up! He wasn't sick but they wouldn't let him stay! I think they need to get new thermometer's! Or Ray Guns as we call them out here on the farm. ( when we were brooding baby birds we used them to check the temperature under the stoves. They all had to be kept at a certain temp! Anyway I had to bring him home! So I put Frozen on for him. It is his new current favorite! He was really good for me but he certainly wasn't sick! While he was napping I fluffed their Christmas 🎄 tree. You know how they get squashed while in storage! Well for me this is a floral designer thing. I have fluffed many a Christmas 🎄 tree in my day and that includes garland too. So Christmas 🎄 trees have to be fluffed! They just look better that way!

Izaiah got home from school and we put lights on the tree and ribbon for garland. Then went to the kitchen to make ornaments. Jeremiah woke up from his nap and joined us. The difference between boys and girls doing crafts is just like night and day! Girls usually take their time and put a lot of decorating into their craft. Boys on the other hand go as fast as they can put very little decorations on their craft and are basically done in 2.2 seconds. I could barely keep up with them! Then we put our paper garland on the tree, put the new ornaments on and the red, green, gold and silver balls on the tree. Once again I could barely keep up with them and (I am so glad the balls were plastic,) every ball landed on the floor before it made it on the tree! In between decorating the tree the boys pretended to be robots, pretended to slip and fall on each other, pushed each other down and ran around the tree! ( Are we having fun yet?!) When we got done with the tree we went out side and I made them race each other up the driveway! Our driveway is 1,000 feet long. We picked up the mail and they raced each other back down the driveway! By the time we got back to the house 🏠 they were ready to calm down and watch Frozen 2 their other new favorite! So we hand pancakes and eggs 🥚 for supper! We were trying to get supper over because they were supposed to have a virtual visit with their Mom but unfortunately she didn't call! The boys were disappointed but they seemed to handle it better than they have in the past. Usually their behavior would be so bad! We just put them in bed so we will see what tomorrow brings! Here is a picture of my boys and their Christmas tree 🎄!

There is their tree! I even resisted the urge to move the ornaments around! Tomorrow my tree goes up. I have lots of breakable ornaments so they won't get to help much with that one! We are going to continue to make ornaments for their tree. We are working on hand eye coordination and fine motor skills! They just think they are having fun!

Have a good evening my friends, talk to you later!
