The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Briarwood Collies

Hey there my friend's! Especially my Collie friend's. How is your Monday going? Mine included getting the boys to school! Tom usually does the morning run and I do the afternoon. Today however Tom was panicking! He had his barns ready for 1 truck full of shavings and two showed up at about 7:00 this morning! Also his service rep called him to say she was on the farm 🚜 to inspect the barns! She makes the decision as to how many barns get birds! (We need to fill them all!) So he runs out to the barns only to find out that she isn't even on the farm. Sometimes it's frustrating, as a company they have no compassion for the fact that a grower has a family and their families need some of their time! They seem to only be happy when he is out there from sunrise to sunset 24/7! Oh well, the birds will come and the barns will be ready and we will go through another cycle! So I dropped off the boys, they do it covid style. We all have to stay 6 ft apart, then when we get in the door 🚪 they check the boys Temps, ask their list of health questions and send them off to their classrooms. My boys love school 🏫 so they are happy to be on their way. By the way, did you know that according to Jeremiah today is Friday! As a matter of fact he says that his teacher told him so. So he believes every day is Friday! I tried to tell him yesterday that it was Sunday but he said, "I don't think so Nana! My teacher said it was Friday!" So there you go! Every day of the week is the day before the weekend! For my Collie friend's, I've been trying to get some good shots of Honey and Dixie! They won't stand still long enough! Dixie likes to mess with the cats and Tiger. As a matter of fact Tiger doesn't even want to go outside when Dixie is out! She doesn't hurt him, she just gets in his face and he hates it! So I finally managed to get some pictures and I will post them here and on my Collie site! Well got to get on paper work! Ugh! Talk to you later! Here is Honey! Her coat is coming back in and it will be full and pretty just like her Mama!

This is Dixie, she is a very busy girl but so pretty! FG Farm Girl
