The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

WEDNESDAY?

Updated: Oct 24, 2020

Grandkids, Family Life, Farm Life . Hey everyone! Have you noticed that I've let tues go by without a post! Now were sliding right into Wednesday. So it's Hump Day! There is something positive! My little Grands had Dr.s appointments today. Just physicals but they had to be done! Well here's my Wednesday! . You know one of those things that happens with your spouse, when you explain that you need their help. You even ask them to come along to help and you thought they agreed. Then somehow all that gets lost in translation! . So we were just a few minutes from leaving and Papa had the boys loaded in the van. I was ready to head out the door 🚪 and then I realized, he wasn't coming! You have to understand that as much as I love my boys, I won't even take them to the grocery store by myself! He knows that! . So I'm lookin at him kinda funny and he says "I have to sell cattle! I don't have time to go with you." I'm thinking "NO!!!" I set this up just so he could help me! I was mad!!! . We still had to get it done so the boys and I went to the Dr. and the health clinic by ourselves! I laid out a plan, I told them what I expected of them and they said, "Yes Nana we will be good!" and they were! For about 5 minutes! . To make a long story shorter, we provided a lot of entertainment for a lot of people! Adults mostly! Who thought my boys were cute and funny! Most of them Grandparents and while they were laughing at them I know they were thinking, "Thank God their not mine!" . And that was my WEDNESDAY!

It didn't get any better. Then when I finally got home with the boys after a meeting at school about behavior of all things. I walk in the door anticipating some help. . My husband 🚶‍♂️ walks in and says, "I'm going to go sell cattle now!" And such is the life of a farm girl! Happy Wednesday yall! FG (Farm Girl)
