The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Crafts and Flowers!

Hey my friend's! How is your Tuesday going? It is rainy and chilly in Southwest Missouri! Today was one of my running days! I feel like all I did was drive back and forth and back and forth! The boys had a good day at school and they were good and quiet on the way back home. I glanced behind me once because I thought maybe they had fallen asleep! Wonder of wonders they were just being good!

So when I wasn't running back and forth I took some time to check on my Greenhouse and make rabbits. On my Spring crafts blog it is the second or third link. Yes I saw it on pintrest. The were cute and it seemed like an easy craft to do! Also the materials were inexpensive! Socks, Rubberbands, Rice, ribbon and you can use marker to make the face or you can use little puff balls and googly eyes 👀. If you use puff balls and eyes you will need a glue stick or Elmer's! Anyway I was able to make a bunch of little ones and one big one in like an hour!

They are in a variety of Easter colors except my big black one! I found the black sock upstairs. It had been floating around for a while and nobody had claimed it so I decided to make a 🐇 rabbit out of it! My husband came in while I was filling it with rice. He said, "What are you doing with my sock?" OOPS! Oh well, I'll get him a new pair, maybe for Easter! The funny thing is my husband is a really big guy! He is 6'7" and his shoe size is a 15 so I usually don't have any trouble knowing which socks are his! Yesterday I was at my Daughter's house waiting for the Dish guy. The house used to belong to my parents and as I've said before my Mother was an avid gardener! There is still a really good variety of daffodils growing in the yard! So I picked myself a bouquet 💐while I was waiting! Here are some pictures!

Just look at those delicate petals! If that's not an argument for intelligent design, then I don't know what is!

Here is the bouquet 💐from my cutting garden! I think it is beautiful too! What was the quote from Monet, " I must have flowers, always, always!" So now that my boys have had their snack they watched, " Inside out," it's a good đŸŽ„ movie. We give it at least a 2 thumbs up! They are getting a little crazy! I'm glad their Papa is here to settle them down. We'll see how the rest of the afternoon/evening goes. I'm trying to figure out what to have for supper. If anyone out there has any great recipes you would like to share I would love to hear from you! Well, gotta go, I will talk to you later! FG Farm Girl
