The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Tech Saved The Day!

Family time, Grandkids, Autism Spectrum Hey everyone! How was your hump day? I was so busy working on my site that I totally forgot I had a meeting at preschool. My oldest Grandson has been really misbehaving at school. So the meeting was with a children's behavior specialist! Any way I was also doing laundry and I was sitting around in my Jammy 👖 pants waiting for my jeans to dry so I could run and pick up my little guys at 🏫 school! So I'm multitasking on my phone and laptop when the phone rings and it's the kids social worker. She's like hey were you planning on being at school 🏫 for the meeting and I said yes but I thought it was at 1:00. She said it is 1:00! So I'm saying oh my gosh I'm so sorry what do I do? She's like no problem it's all virtual let me send you the link! So I got it and linked up with the school and had a virtual meeting in my pajamas! I really like this lady we are working with. She has given us some good strategies to emplement with my Grandson. He went through a traumatic situation with Mom's abusive boyfriend 😕. Honestly we aren't quite sure what he has been through or what he's seen. We do deal with bad behavior from him but we don't let it escalate out of control. At school 🏫 they can't be as firm with him as we are and he was literally throwing toys, kicking his teachers, biting his teachers, cussing at his teachers and yesterday he tried to climb out the window! Yeah, we don't see behavior this extreme at home. The poor teachers! I feel so bad for them having to deal with this child! So hopefully we are all learning some new ways to manage his behavior! Anyway we go to court to try to get custody this month. It's a real shame, Mom wants to be with the boys and the boys want to be with their Mom but she won't give up the abusive boyfriend. So thats our story. Today technology saved the day. Also it has allowed us to use the knowledge and skill of this behavior therapist in Springfield which is about a 2 hour drive from here! Hope your day was awesome! FG Farm Girl
