The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Sundays Sun Day!

Updated: Oct 18, 2020

Crafts, creative, creativity, farm house pumpkins . . Yes Sunday was a beautiful day! A great day to be creative and a great day for a walk! So I spent most of the day working on my projects. I sent you links on how to make these projects and promised to show you my version. So here we go!

I started out with inexpensive pumpkin shaped signs from Walmart. Also some plastic pumpkins 🎃 and gourds. I went to the dollar tree for paint, ribbon ect. I used white chalk paint on the signs and black for the lines. These signs already had metal words on them. I painted over them with black ⚫ paint. I bought inexpensive pictures frames at the Dollar Tree and used the backs and glued them to the back of the signs. On one I tied a bow, on the others I added a floral piece that had great texture. I took the smaller frame and glued it to the front of the largest sign. I used a beautiful picture of my daughter and her fiance at prom! I used hot glue from a glue gun on everything. On the pumpkins I used shades of acrylic paint. I started with 2 shades of teal adding white, mixing shades to get different colored pumpkins. I used teal because I use that color in my living room. At the Dollar Tree I found a Margarita glass and a small glass plate. I turned the glass upside down and glued the plate on top making a great pedestal to sit a pumpkin on. Again I used hot glue to do this. There you have it, my version of the crafts on pinterest! Hope this inspires your own creative spirit!
