The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Small Town Life!

Hey there, my friends and family! We have had a couple of busy days! My daughter had Thursday and Friday off this week. She's kind of funny about when she wants her Mama around and when she's feeling independent!

She wanted to go to the boot store that sells Twisted x shoes 👞 but she didn't want to go by herself. She also wanted to get her hair cut and highlighted, but again she didn't want to go alone. I think most of it has to do with Jaylyn.

We went to the boot store Friday morning. Jones Boots is one of those hidden gems in Southwest MO. It's located in Sheldon MO, a little blink and you miss it towns just right off 49 highway! They have been in business for years and sell lots of cowboy boots and pretty much all things Western! When you walk in the door the scent of leather is everywhere! It is a neat experience! Sammy found her new shoes and I even found some in size 15. My husband's size. Yes, he is a 6"7' man and he has trouble just finding clothes that fit much less 👞 👟 shoes! It turned out that they had a lot of size 15s in different colors and patterns.

The kids were great while we were there. We just had Jeremiah and Jaylyn! So went home for lunch. Then Sam and I went to our hair appointments. This time we left Jeremiah with Papa and we just took Jaylyn with us.

I have to give a big shout out to the ladies at Magic Mirror in Nevada MO. They were so great about helping us with Jaylyn! They helped pass her off to Sam and I, depending on who was in the chair at the time. They had a big ole thick comforter so we could lay her on the floor and let her roll around. They even brought out a bouncy seat so she could sit up for a while. They were awesome! Sam and I both got our hair cut and colored, my baby girl went back to blonde, we there for 3 hours. Thanks to them Jaylyn had a great afternoon! So much less stressful than it might have been! So a big thank you to the ladies at Magic Mirror! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

That's it for now! Talk to you later!
