The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Monday, Monday?

Grandkids, Tomatoes, Tomatoe Sauce, Movies Hey everyone! Just getting around to writing ✍ Mondays blog on Tuesday! How was your Monday? It was raining and cold yesterday in South West MO. If you are a farmer 🚜 or a gardener I doubt you complained much! We were desperately dry here! I think all the plants and trees 🌳 gave a huge sigh of relief (Wew!) So because it was raining my little guys played inside and watched movies! We actually got them to watch something different which was great for me! I love "The Lion King" but at this point I think I can quote it word for word! So I ended my day making tomato sauce for the first time! I think I did okay! I skinned the tomatoes and then mashed them through a strainer until all I was left with was pulp and seeds. I heated the sauce on the stove and then because it was already at the consistency that I wanted. I didn't have a lot of sauce so I chose to freeze it! .

I measured out 1 cup poured it in a freezer bad and added 1tlb of lemon 🍋 juice and 1/2 a tsp of salt 🧂. I ended up with 6 bags and I froze them. Not a lot of tomato sauce but thats 6 cans I don't have to buy. They are all organic and much healthier for us! Hope your Monday was good! Yes even Mondays can sometimes be 👍 good! . . Sincerely Farm Girl/FG!
