The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Recipes,Gardening Hey yall! Fall is right around the corner! Although it still feels like summer in South West MO cool weather is just around the corner. So how was your day? Did you get a chance to do anything fun and relaxing? If the answer is no I get it. I got the chance to put away my home canned tomatoes and make some fresh Salsa! So I thought I would share my Salsa recipe. The recipe actually came from my good friend and former roommate. So this is Smita's Salsa. Two medium Tomatoes, skinned, small onion, 1/2 a Jalapeño, 2 gloves garlic, tsp salt, tsp cummin, tblp of lemon juice, cilantro. Throw it all in a food processor and blend! Adjust to taste! So easy and so good!
