The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Halloween 🎃!

Family time, Family Farm Time, . Grandkids, Halloween 🎃 Hello everyone! How was your evening? For some of you it might not be over yet. We are done, my little Grandson's are in bed and asleep! Their Mother went home, their Dad is downstairs and my daughter and her boyfriend are outside somewhere. She is old enough to take car of herself! So I made chili and we roasted 🌭 hotdogs and marshmallows. We made smores! Instead of Trick or Treating we took the kids on a scavenger hunt for 🍬 candy pretty much all over the farm! I went out early and hid bags of candy all over the farm! We used the 4 wheeler to run around with and I wrote up clues that they had to figure out, (they had help!) For their very last clue, they had to trick or treat all the adults to see who had it. When they got it and figured it out they hopped back on the 4 wheeler and went in search of their last bags of candy! They had fun and they got so excited when they found their bags! After roasting lots of hotdogs 🌭 and marshmallows (we even had a marshmallow completely engulfed in flames like a torch! We were all hollering, "blow it out!" My Grandson just stood there holding it! So I jumped up and blew it out. Yeah, Nana saved the day but the marshmallow was toast! That was pretty much our evening! The doggies even got hotdog treats while they practiced their sitting! So here are some pictures of our evening, hope you all had a good one! . Happy Halloween 🎃! . FG Farm Girl

I don't know if you notice my fire 🔥 pot but if you look closely you'll see that it's an old cauldron. We found it at a flea market, sanded it, and painted it with fire resistant paint! It works great for a fire pit!

Look who decided to join the party! Ginger is the one looking at us. The goat 🐐 in back is Arianna, (named for the singer) her mother died when she was born. So we raised her from a tiny baby (yes we raised her in the house, until she started leaping onto the furniture!!)

Scavenger hunt, there is my little 🕷 Spiderman and my Power Ranger with their Mom!
