The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Good Friday!

(I couldn't resist planting some early spring flowers) Hey my friend's! How are you on this beautiful Friday evening? For those of us who are Christians this is Good Friday. The day that we remember that Jesus was put on a Cross to be crucified!

(Our Maples are budding out and our Bradford Pears are starting to bloom!) My husband and I are sitting on the couch watching, "The Passion of The Christ", I have to say that this is my least favorite movie about Christ. I think it is because it's so graphic! I know that if he hadn't died on the Cross he wouldn't have opened the door for Salvation for all of us but for me it is very painful to watch my Lord be beaten and tortured. It just hurts my heart too much!! We have been watching "Chosen" all week on The Hallmark Channel. It has been interesting but they are going through the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John slowly and they are not even close to the crucifixion!

(We got home just in time to capture the Sunset over the Farm!) So today has been a beautiful day here in Southwest Missouri! I think we are going to have a great weekend to celebrate 🐣Easter and new life! Speaking of new life my Grandson's Mom just gave birth to a baby today! So they have a new little brother! I'm not sure if they know what to think about that. There is speculation among the adults as to who the Father is! I say we let things play out and pray that the guy she's with doesn't become abusive with the baby! That is our reality and the reason we have Guardianship of our Grandson's. Today I went shopping by myself and stocked up for Easter dinner. I also picked up little Easter gifts for my family and Easter baskets for the boys. I got home and unloaded the car just in time to leave again with my Daughter. We had a preshopping pass for Rea Lana's. It is a sale of all things child related, clothes, shoes, toys all gently used. They also have lots of baby stuff! Everything from clothing, to blankets to car seat to cribs. I feel like we made out like bandits! I picked up summer play clothes for the boys. Some of them were really good brands! For my Daughter who is due July 5th, we found lots of sweet little summer clothes for baby girls! Some of them looked brand new! We picked up a really nice car seat, a bouncer, and a stroller. Also bibs and receiving blankets! So she is well on her way to being ready for her baby girl! We got home just in time

to help put the boys to 🛌 bed. They were excited about their new clothes! I think they have also caught the holiday buzz! They had a hard time settling down and going to sleep! Papa had to get gruff with them! I still have to go out and close up the greenhouse for the night 🌙! It feels like Saturday because everyone was out of school and off work! I keep having to reminding myself that it's still just Friday! Well that's it for now! I will show you my Easter Table setting tomorrow and let you know how Church and our Easter egg hunt went! It's hard to believe that we haven't been inside our Church building since last March! Talk to you later! FG FARM GIRL
