The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

Anniversary!

Hi my friends! How is your Sunday going? I hope some of you made it to church, even if it was in front of the TV! Our boys are too loud and don't allow us to listen so we gave up on online church. I am beginning honest with you when I tell you that bedtime for the boys is my favorite time of day! Can you tell that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I think it's because I don't have my energy back and Tom is out doing chores until dark! Sammy is sick today! So I'm on my own with them! By the way did I mention last Friday was our Anniversary! Tom took me to Joplin, MO, we ate at the Olive Garden, (my favorite restaurant!) He made reservations for us at the Hilton! It was a beautiful hotel and it was so nice to have some adult time! The next day we just kinda of played and did somethings for ourselves we don't normally get to do. Gus watched the boys Monday night until Sam got home, then she had them the rest of the day. What was funny is that right before I left I made them Mac n Cheese, chicken tenders and a veggie! When we got home on Tues evening Sammy was making them supper and it was the exact same thing! Sam is a Tomboy at heart and would rather be out helping her Dad than helping me! She likes to bake but not to necessarily cook dinner! It will be interesting to see what happens when she gets married! So I have included a picture of the flowers 💐 Tom bought me for our Anniversary. We were just at a convenience store and they had a bucket of flowers! I picked them up to smell them because there was Stock in it! If you aren't familiar with Stock it is a fragrant flower that has multiple blooms up and down the stalk. The smell is heavenly! I just picked it up for Tom to smell and he bought them for me! Thirty-five years! Some of those years were tough and some of them were really good! Here's to more good years!

My flowers looked kinda sad after riding around in the car all day! FG FARM GIRL
