The Roots of my life go back as far as my Great Grandfather.  Gardening is a gene that has been passed down in my family from generation to generation.  It serves as a metaphor for life.  Deep strong roots keep you firmly grounded in tradition, passion and happiness!

For years, I have served as a helpful role to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. In 2020,  I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our society. I founded A farm girls life! with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and it has been a wild success ever since.

ALMOST HALLOWEEN!

Updated: Oct 30, 2020

Family time, Movies, Family farm time Hey everyone! What a beautiful fall day we are having in South West MO! The sky has even been a beautiful clear blue 💙! The air had a little nip in it, then it warmed up. Perfect fall weather! My little Grandson's have been wound for sound! Their behavior is barely under control on a normal day! Then add a holiday like Halloween 🎃 in to the mix and you have a couple of wild little boys! . My husband was with me when we picked the boys up from preschool. I was so grateful! Then we had some erands to run 🏃‍♂️. The last stop was Walmart for a new blender and some groceries. It didn't take long before my little Grands had to be taken back out! And today isn't even Halloween! With Covid on everyone's mind there isn't much going on in our town for Halloween! So we are having a party tomorrow night here on the farm. We plan to roast hotdogs 🌭 and marshmallows and send the boys on a scavenger hunt for 🍬 candy! So we will see how it's going to go behavior wise! We may be doing a lot of time out, taking away privileges ect... and other natural consequences! . . Well now to get to my new blender! I bought a Ninja! It's a professional grade blender and it's supposed to work really well! I'm going to give it a try in just a little bit! So I guess that's my Friday! I have a few pictures for you. My oldest Grandson caught a 🐍 snake, thank goodness it wasn't poisonous! The goats 🐐 decided to take a walk. So the ended up penned in the dog house, they're now back in their pasture! Taffy ended up in a tangle of 🌹 rose briars! He doesn't look happy! . .

My Grandsons are quietly watching "Cars" one of their favorites!

So things are calm at the moment! Oops it's over, spoke too soon! Gotta Go!
